If you've received a SC-Style guitar case sold by Thoman, how has your experience been with them? currently looking at the guitar shaped case and the rectangular one for $45-55 USD. Reviews seem overall positive. Just wanna get your guys experience opinions on whats the best route to take on a budget Thanks, -Elliott

I had one and it was fine. My SC-Custom did fit nicely in it.
Note that an SC will not fit in a rectangular one because of the angles. It will be a little too high, with the top of the case applying pressure on it and the headstock angle will keep the neck up in the air, not on the support meant for it while the end of the headstock will touch the bottom of the case. The body of the guitar will also be at an angle, as if laying on the floor.

The SC case, on the other hand, fits perfectly: It feels nice too, sturdy. Nothing luxurious but not cheap junk either.

With my SC-Custom, it does fit, but the ass on the SC-Custom is wider than a Les Paul - and it shows in the way the guitar fits that case. It's quite tight around the bottom. Fine for popping in and out of the trunk, going to rehearsal or a quick trip across town or whatever, but I wouldn't use it for touring or even heavy local gigging.
