Hi Guys
I want to change the red tort pickguard on my PB20 SBK fo a black one, but I notice the Harley Benton ones don't fit the PB20 standard guitars. Does anyone know if there are any other pickguards that will fit ? I don't really feel too confident with drilling new holes in my guitar.
Cheers Matthew

Brian (https://www.ebay.co.uk/str/earlpilanz) in Glasgow will do them. I could drop a plate off at his unit but there'd be no 100% guarantee the screw holes would match. PB-20's have been built in a couple of factories, none using the exact same parts. You could post him a tracing of your plate or just send the plate, you'd get an exact fit that way. Quickest, easiest and cheapest method is a skin. Look for black adhesive film like "Fablon", it's used to smarten up old kitchen units, drawer lining and shelves etc. In the UK shops like B&M,Wilco, B&Q etc sell it, Halfords probably do as well. Ebay is another source. You just roll a length out, place your plate down on it then smooth out any bumps or bubbles. Same as a mobile phone screen protector. Do that before you trim the shape. I vinyl wrapped the salami (tortoise) pickguard on my pb-20 and SC jr. Came out pretty well and was easier than trimming a random ebay/amazon pickguard to fit.
