Hi, anyone have this amplifier or one of code series? I want know if found Headphones output too low my Akg k92 is too low while, if use on Fender mustang IV is all right. Do You think that cane solve with Berlingher ha400 o similar device? Thank you
P. S. The strange is my Headphones is have only 32ohm so should have a good output value. As far as I know only those with very high impedance like Sennheiser hd-650 300ohm need headphone amplifiers!
Problem solved with headphones amplifier. In the meantime, I got to try out this modeling amplifier a bit. Unlike many reviews that did not paint it as the best Marshall and above all denigrated its performance coupled with the dedicated cabinet suggesting to change it with the vintage classics, I instead find it very balanced especially if coupled with the code 212 cabinet and I suppose 412 (not having it I can only assume) Starting from the concept that this digital model amplifier should simulate amps / cabinets / effects etc. Probably using neutral speakers is the most logical solution after all, it is obvious that a vintage celestion cannot emulate other types as it was not designed for this. So testing this amp with other Marshall cabinets is definitely a mistake. Obviously it is not the discovery of hot water, we are always in the presence of a cheap product, but not for this reason to be thrown in the garbage. I would say comfortable using the commands via the app which facilitates its use. I found some very good presets and as always in these products many others useless, but with a little patience and time you can replace them with custom ones. Maybe the typical Marshall distorted sound doesn't come out at high volumes, maybe it improves with the 412 queues but that's not my case having to use it only at home. In conclusion it is not the top of the tops but it is not even to be thrown away indeed it has many Marshall qualities. For example it has no noises or rustles like blackstar or fender, moreover the harley benton st-62 seem to sound better (comparison with mustang)
Cons have some problema with bt e smartphone (redmi note 8 pro) while with redmi 7 siamo work fine.
I'd have thought it would only do cabinet simulation if you were using headphones or using it to record direct. I cannot see why anyone would want cab sim INTO a cab!? Have you checked out whether that cab sim does ANYTHING when playing into your 212?
"What's that terrible noise?" "Well, it's either the Hoover belt needs replacing or Marc Almond's on Jools again."
Sorry I didn't understand, if you mean, when I use headphones, the cabinet stays silent, the answer is yes. If you meant why I also use the code 212 cabinet, the answer is because I wasn't sure if the headphone amplifier really worked (I need to check if it maintains decent quality)
I am asking if the cabinet simulations still try to affect the sound when the head is playing through a real cabinet. I would have thought is would only simulate a cabinet when playing into headphones or to a computer DAW.

In fact it is a contradiction to simulate through a cabinet, especially if it uses the very speakers it simulates. In reality and in this Marshall was not wrong, in the cabinet code there are neither celestion nor eminence nor other famous brands but simple drivers without colors and not expressly dedicated to the guitar is the same philosophy of blackstar with the Id core. Honestly, the result is good at least at the volume I play in order not to have neighborhood problems. The advantage is that even an mp3 sounds decently while eg. on the mustang is terrible.
another great thing about the code 100h (I suppose all the code) is that every time it is switched on it remains on the preset set while for example my Fender mustang always starts from the first set
Strange. I wonder if there is a setting on the Mustang to override that? My Katana switches on in the setting it was left in, my Blackstar ID Core (horrible thing!) doesn't.

Unfortunately this is the case and it's really frustrating (at least for mustangs) if you like set 57 for example you waste a lot of time getting there every time you turn on. On the code no, you can also control it from the app and then jump directly to the desired set. In the end the truth is that no one is perfect so we keep buying the wives get angry and we are poorer but happier and happier
The saddest thing is that in the end these modeling amplifiers are full of presets but then like all multi-effects you discover that you only have a few good ones a few other decent ones and everything else is painful because we keep buying them, well because we are all genetically a bit sadistic and I would also say children and we like toys
