As you may know, I am a fan of Squier classic vibes, I own 5 of them between telecaster and stratocaster. These guitars are certainly not absolute perfection at an affordable price, but the relationship between this and the overall quality I would say is excellent. But all that glitters is not gold. Lately, I bought a Squier paranormal cabronita telecaster Thinline thinking I have to find the same quality considering that the price is more or less that of the classic vibes. But this is not the case at all, the first thing that catches the eye is the material of the internal packaging has gone from ecological cardboard to much less green foam and I would say even less protective. Any setup or checkup label is missing. In fact, although the sound was not really bad, I immediately felt an annoying vibration on the headstock and a couple of fake keys. Obviously it was immediately sent back to doa and replaced after 7 days with another one that had only the color in common. Well it didn't go like that. Same vibration, no fake keys, but jackplate that spit the cable out of me when I plugged it in. This time I was cleared to investigate. The problem is in the mechanics in particular the latches that block the metal cover with the rest of the tuner are bent badly and therefore touch the headstock engaging an annoying vibration that decreases by tightening them fully but does not disappear completely even here the famous checkup tag was missing. Now either in Fender they have changed factories or they have decided to save on the cost of production and control. Highly flawed high-end Squier morale. As for me, another brand on the black list since my money has no flaws, think people think. P.s. also alpha pots are missed N.b. in the photo id correct (Sorry no have fault)

That doesn't look good, must have been disappointing to say the least. Before I bought the Gretsch I was looking at this range and the new classic vibes. Nothing worse than a sloppy build.

Worse for them once the classic vibes were a great compromise, today seen how they are building the paranormals I would not even trust these at least those built in China assuming they are made in the same factory. I could have easily obtained an instrument that still lives up to its name by changing mechanics and jackplates, but it doesn't exist on an item that costs 459 euros in the price list!
Honestly, I don't think I'm unlucky enough to always get faulty instruments, last year you decided to get a Fender vintera 50's, in this case structurally or acoustically perfect, and God forbid. But in reality not all, after a few months I discovered that the rear hole covered by the backvover hid a 5/6 mm cutting inaccuracy. And do you know why? Because these great geniuses today first paint and then carry out the various excavations .. the testimony is that lifting both the front and back cover the wood appears in its natural aspect, never seen such a thing in 50 years ... however I do not grieve I only change brands. Perhaps the only sad thing is that you find the Ibanez (I only have 2) very, very well cared for in every aspect including aesthetic, too bad they don't have the tone that I like.
Bye bye Squier
Fortunately I have so many guitars that I can afford (and get peace with my wife)
