Guys I wanted to give my favorite brand a last chance after the disastrous problems I had with the latest Squier (Cabronita) and after having given goodbye definitively to the classic vibe series of which I was a supporter at least with the stratocaster and telecaster models I own but all antecedents to 2020 (a cursed year for other much more serious reasons), I decided to take a stratocaster sss player. Why ? Simply because having missed an opportunity (I still eat my hands for having existed an extra minute) a 2-month stratocaster put on sale for problems at less than 400 euro. But let's get back to the subject, like a kid who has lost his toy, I started a frantic search, I wanted it at all costs, but I didn't want to spend the 650/680 required. So when I found it at just over 500 I didn't hesitate ... and wonder no disappointment this time. Obviously it's not the perfect guitar, but after 20 years (I have one from 2001) I can say that this sounds like a real Fender I don't know if it's the enthusiasm but it seems to me in some respects even better than the whole 50s. Finally, the right pickups were ridiculous before (in fact I changed them right away) What I like most are the harmonics it returns in every little nuance. Perhaps it is the best in this price range at least for me who love the Stratocaster. 2020 Polar White untoched 2001 Black custom tortoise pickguard noisseless pickupd blend circuit. My wife said buy another and I will become a wild widow !!!

My Mrs just got me the Player Telecaster in PW with the maple neck for my birthday. I had my eye on one for weeks when I was young in the 70's. I ended up getting something else, because I got sidetracked. Since then I couldn't forget this white Tele. Then, when I saw the new Player Series Tele in polar white I thought "Wait a minute".
Although I do love my TE-70 BP, I must say the Fender is in another class. Of course, there's almost 500 Euros difference, but you do notice this considerably. Maybe in a mix you wouldn't be able to tell too much difference but the playability and just general feel of the instrument is on another level. To call it a keeper would be an understatement. I tried some of the Fender models over the years and wasn't that impressed. I think the best one I tried was actually a Squier Classic Vibe, but hats off to Fender for this new player series. They've done a very good job.
