It all started because of the first home office time in spring 2020... I wanted something to work on in my evenings while I could not go out and play.. So I found my first PB50 for arround 60 bucks second hand. What could I do wrong on a cheapo like this. I have to say that I don't like the "normal" Precision bass at all, I always was a 2 pick ups guy! So I thought of it as a project for a bass to be on the wall somewhere, not to be played. So I got the bass and went home. When I played it at home I instantly fell in love with that neck! Wow...why don't all my 4 strings have such a tree I thought. I was surprised by the output of the Roswell pu and started working on the finish. It is the "aged" one... Cut the headstock and ..well you can imagine. I liked that bass so much that I could not resist buying another one some weeks later. Also used...but from the older line... Wilkinson pu and slightly different neck. Cut the headstock right and painted it black, because I found many nice pics of black Telecasters in the net. Well... it turned out very cool ! :-) I recently changed the Wilkinson pu to a Quarter Pounder but can state, that I liked the Wilkinson better and it will be in again. I had to widen up the pu hole cause the QP did not fit in. Ah... and I changed the tuners... the only thing that is a real step up. I bought several new scratchplates (there is a guy who makes them on ebay) If you need one, be aware that there a two different shapes, depending on the age of your PB50. And now...voila..

Very nice. I like it a lot. That flat black with the chrome looks slick.
