It puts out 15v - 1A calebz . It's been a fun afternoon in the garden. It looks like the PB-1 would be compatible with my Blackstar ID:Core Beam - although I don't think I would subject my neighbours to my limited musicality..... I assume that running your Core 10 from battery hasn't made it less hissy? My Beam suffers from the same problem and I think its just a design flaw in the power stage of the amp rather than a noisy power supply. (Using the USB out into a DAW is pretty much noise free.)

I was in this sub-forum in order to post about something else when I spotted this thread. This should give you all a laugh. It did me, a teary one. Fortunately I don't lust after one. I wish CMI (the Aussie official single line import distro obviously setting the wholesale and thus controlling street price) were joking, but they're not. Pretty sure they won't be a HOT selling item here.

I'm surprised that two men of your apparent intelligence and expertise haven't bothered to research in order to arrive at the facts as to why the ID:CORE Series including the ID:CORE Beam present with an audible hiss (A) in some modes which is most discernibly audible (B) at high volume and with effects settings applied with FULL WIDE STEREO mode engaged. It must be said, that said "hiss" is variable and subjective in terms of its annoyance or not and is totally inaudible when the amp is actually being played producing music. Hint. It has nothing to do with the external Blackstar PSU DC input nor is it a firmware issue or "design flaw" as in an unintentional implementation aka mistake thereof in the design of the power stage of the amp's circuitry. Worst though is blaming the amp and the straw argument in sledging Blackstar as a brand perpetually for what is an apparent wrong choice on your own part/s in buying an ID:CORE instead of buying your praised St. BOSS' holy Katana 50, who incidentally don't make a 10W, or 20W for those wishing to buy at their segmented much lower price points. The ID:CORE does what it was purposed for and advertises, and does it well with its immersive FULL WIDE STEREO feature. Instead, all I ever hear is ridicule and inarguable hyperbole about idle hiss vs the "can do no wrong" fanboys' favourite (NOT -see final paragraph). If you don't appreciate your ID:CORE, why not sell it and buy a Katana is the obvious thing any truly smart wise person would do. But please spare those of us who don't share your prejudice the unending hyperbole fuelled bile. My apology in advance if this offends, but really, as a owner/user of not just an ID:CORE but now six Blackstar amps (the V1 40W is my only amp from the ID:CORE series) alongside a couple of Fender amps long over any silly owner pride bias other than appreciation and being left brainer who tends to assesses things analytically, the constant "Blackstar bad" sledging has reached boorishly offensive levels not reflecting so poorly on the product as the perpetrator/s. Please stop. If you don't appreciate, want or need the ID:CORE series unfiltered full range stereo speakers as they have been implemented to produce the product's FULL WIDE STEREO feature, perhaps consider selling to buy a Katana 50 with its 12" mono speaker characteristics or perhaps consider a Frontman 10/Champion 20 instead. Trust me this isn't fuelled by any ID:CORE regret purchase rationalisation of 4½ years ago nor wannabe Katana fanboy envy. The Katana 50 is decent amp, and if I wanted one I'd buy one. If it's right for you buy one, but perhaps read this first, and this. Hopefully those links don't get auto-cut by the forum filter. Apparently not even BOSS can please all the people all the time.
