I've had this bass for a week now and here are my thoughts. Bear in mind I'm a guitarist who is using a bass for recording. But since getting this bass I cant stop playing it and I feel like I want to take bass playing more seriously. So thats a good start Thomann 😉
Pros: -Looks great -Neck is wonderful and really nice to play (on the slim side I'd guess) -Fretwork is legit good, better than the TE-52 and HB-35 that I own, not that they are bad at all. -Electronics seem good to me, P pickup is more than adequate, MM could have more meat and solidity in the lower registers, but definately has that voice you'd expect. -Very versatile, cant imagine a genre of music you couldn't do with this bass. -Tuners and bridge seem good to me, no tuning or stability issues.
Cons: -6 piece body. 3 on the front and 3 on the back sandwiched together. I didnt notice this in reviews and photos before I bought. Luckily the front pieces grain match pretty well, but the back pieces match almost perfectly, almost indistinguishable. If only the back and front were swapped over. The seam down the side is very noticable though and makes the bass look a bit cheap.
-EQ doesnt work in passive mode. -The bridge is all the way down and the action is still just ok, not as low as I would like, so might need to get a shim.
Some questions.
-Does the battery become disengaged when the bass is unplugged? Or do I need to pull the volume 'out' after playing? -If I decide to swap the pickups, will standard MM based pickups fit? Also, can P pickups be reoriented to fit the reverse stagger of this bass?
Cheers me hearties

While I haven't played that exact model, unplugging the cable should be enough to disconnect the battery when not in use.
