Hi guys!
I am planning to buy my very first Electric Guitar but I am confused about which one from the two HBs to choose. My budget is ~200euros. I've never played guitar before so I wish to get the best one that will help me practise.
Thanks in advance Martz

If you can, go to a music store near you and try out guitars. Find those that makes you want to play it and buy one that you think is cool. While I do fully support HB, if you are not going to play it, it makes no sense to buy it! Also beware that buying online means you cannot be sure what you will get. This goes for ALL guitars of all manufacturers. And thus you will have to learn some basic set-up actions. While you probably cannot destroy a guitar while doing this, a scratch on the fretboard, because you did not watch out , hurts less on a low price guitar. Again a reason to buy local, at least for the first few guitars. They will usually have decent set-up guitars and you can buy exactly that one you are trying out. Now, from your list I only have the TE-52 and it is a *really* nice guitar. But darn is it heavy.

If you can, go to a music store near you and try out guitars Not sure if that is good advice for a beginner, as he won’t be able to tell if a guitar has a good setup. Maybe get a TE-20 or TE-62 and spend 50 to 100 bucks to have the guitar setup by a pro?

Well, keep in mind, that the 2 guitars you are considering cost less than almost any one single guitar you might buy in a brick & mortar store. I had to "learn" about guitars ... Before I got brave enough to buy on line. Or to even buy a "foreign" guitar (one NOT made in America) But after buying American made Fender's and a Gibson, and a PRS ...I know quality instruments are made in off shore countries. For right now , most notably Indonesia. PRS, Fender, Sire and Harley Benton all make guitars there. I own 2 HB TE 52's and I Luv 'em. YES, they are chubby (weigh 10 lbs !) But they are fine instruments and are well worth more than what is asked for them (Don't tell HB that) My advise... Is to BUY BOTH (Eventually) . They are both fine examples of cost effective guitars, and together will cost less than a Squier Classic Vibe (a nice but over priced Asian made Fender). IF the HB's need a professional set up ... that will not add much to their cost, and you will still have fine instruments. If a "Ten Pound Tele" is too heavy, Buy the new TE 69 with its "thinline", (semi hollow) but not really construction (less than 10 lbs) My latest sweetiepie is a HB TE 90 QM, which I bought for its P90 pickups (P90's are an ancient, early style of pickup know for its smoothness, power, sweetness and noise !) It is also a lightweight HB at about 7 Lbs ( its a semi-hollow body)... But for starters, the 2 you have mentioned are a good starting place. AND all of the 4 guitars HB mentioned , would cost less than a Fender Player Plus... which might be as good as the TE 52 ...

Totally ageeing to what Defdjef said. If you are used to accoustic guitars, then the Telecaster is liable to please you more than the LP type. Because it is more reactive to the guitarist gameplay.
In fact, it is mainly an affair of pickups, so any guitar featuring single coils will please you more than humbuckers : Tele, Strat, P90, Jazzmaster ....

Go with the one that attracts you the most When we begin, we need an instrument that we want to play and spend time with I have had both and they are great guitars, so no bad choice No need to overthink it

Some great advice by all. Some things to think about:
What music do you like? What music do you want to play? What style of instrument do your guitar heroes play? When you choose your first guitar it's got to be a shape/ colour/ style that you think "wow - I really want to pick that up and play" There are exceptions to this, much as I adore Angus as a player, I just couldn't see myself playing an SG (that might change, but not right now) You can't go wrong with an HB as your first guitar, but the quality control is sometimes a bit hit and miss. If you know someone who can give the guitar a quick look over when you get it - just to make sure you haven't been sent a real dud, that would be good. This next point is the most important. In fact, I'm going to say it twice in bold and in big capital letters ...
GET IT SET UP PROPERLY BY A DECENT GUITAR TECH GET IT SET UP PROPERLY BY A DECENT GUITAR TECH
I'm not talking about just putting a new set of strings on it and adjusting the action. Get the frets levelled and dressed, and the action at the nut set correctly. So many beginners are put off by badly setup guitars that are completely unplayable straight from the box. The tele and the LP style guitars play very differently, and both have a different feel to them. As a beginner guitar I don't think you could go far wrong with the T-style. It's simple, straightforward and very versatile. The TE-52 is a great guitar although heavy. The TE-62 is a shade cheaper, and would be my choice. Lastly, don't forget about the amp you will be using - but that's a whole new can of worms to open!
Good luck mate - let us know what you decide, and when you get it don't forget to show and tell!
