Recently came into the possession of one of their Amarok guitars. Anyone else who owns these have problems with the fret ends being sharp? They literally wore a hole in the bottom of my index finger in like... an hour of playtime. To where when I play it, you can literally see specks of skin that its ripped off sitting on the fretboard.

Well, usually they are fine form the factory, but the thing is that depending on the geographic location and temperatures/moisture there the wood of the fretboard could shrink and expose more of the fret edges. The hig quality guitar brand are made of wood that is stored an dried for long periods of time to achieve the highest wood stability, but even with that level of care these things could happen and for the -still- cheap guitars - the wood is usually lower quality and is dried a lot shorter time (and the process continues at your home)...
I have actually treated/filed fret ends on all of my HB guitars - it was "fine" form factory, but for the best experience you have to go a little further on all of this price range guitars (I have done that on my Epiphones), than the 10 seconds, that the worker in China/Indonesia/etc. has for this task...
So, If you like the rest of the guitar i would recommend to check a few videos on YT how to threat the fret ends. If you are careful to you finish it could be done together with polishing of the frets (recommended) in 15 minutes. Because I guess there is a lot of HB users, that some of these small "repairs" do on the fly with their guitar and really they don't talk about it much - it part of the common care of a guitar for some - adjust truss-rod, setup action, file sharp fret, polish them...

Yeah, I kinda figured that there would be a little bit of work that needed to be done. Just wanted to know if this was a common thing or if anyone had like, technique advice for doing it. I'm practicing on a $200 ESP 7 String that came with EVERY SINGLE FRET END JUST SHARP AS CAN BE. With a set of Chinese Jeweler Files and a Cuticle File I seem to have a bit of luck, but... I still find myself hitting the fret board. I guess its just getting practice doing it.
Thanks for the Reply Good Sir!
