I got this second hand CST-24 few days ago.
It needed a full set-up: neck relief (too much backbow), action too high, fretboard too dry, obviously new strings.
Two issues still persist: - intonation is still sharp even if the bridge is full backward so I have ordered a new adjustable bridge, hope this will sort this issue; - some frets are higher and need to be filed - not a big issue, anyway I want to fix it
Pickups: I really like the balanced character of the Roswell LAFs, I prefer them over the HAFs, so I looked for a BK rather than a Flamed (which I like more aesthetically) Pots and switch: nothing to complain, they work smoothly and precise and the feel is solid.
One final consideration about the electronics: they are way better then their "inspiring competitor" (you know who I mean ... )
At last, my feeling about playability: I find this guitar a bit "hard" under the fingers, maybe it is the neck profile maybe the 009 strings gauge, I am going to try 008s.

Nice! I've been eyeballing the CST-24 myself. I bought the bolt-on kit version that I'm working on but I still have GAS for the full-fat setneck version.
As far as the "hard" feel, do you have any relief to the neck at all? A tiny bit of relief often helps with apparent string tension.
It could also be that the frets are taller than you're used to. I had that problem when I got a Peavey Wolfgang and I came to realize that I was fretting harder than necessary but the fretboard stopped me with shorter frets on the more vintage-styled Fenders I had at the time.
As far as the intonation... Is that picture before or after you adjusted the bridge as far back as it'll go? If it's after, it looks like you've got plenty of room to move further back but may need longer screws.

The picture is before the adjustment. There is little further room but I would like to avoid an eventual forward tilt of the bridge.
Regarding the neck relief, it is now very low, maybe I need to increase it.

I forgot to mention: tuners are real crap ... Some have a lot of play, others are so hard to turn that I fear they will break soon. I will replace them ASAP with a set of Harley Benton locking tuners, I already mounted the same set on my partscaster and they works really smooth with no issues.

The tuner keys should have tension adjustment screws on the ends to make them as loose or as tight as you want. I was just going to say this. Just don't overtighten them because you'll kill the gears.
