Evening all,
I have a while to wait as both guitars are currently out of stock, but this still gives me time too much time to flip-flop between the two. My head is telling me get the HB, you've got 4 HB's already, you know that with a bit of tweaking it will be a great guitar, and at £229 with the spec that it has it's great value. The flip side is the Olive Green FSR from Andertons (UK) looks fantastic. The CV custom has had great reviews all over the interweb, and it's closer in looks to the Fender Tele - but it's £399.
Does anybody have the TE-25 (or TE-62DB) and a Squier 60s Custom? Can't find any comparison vids on YT, but would be good to get a view from an owner of both.

Hi!
I had both, and both are good guitars. I kept the Squier CCV for about 2 years and stupidly sold it. I had the TE-62 DB for one day and I had to send it back to Thomann because its colour was supposed to be Candy Apple Red but was pink. Apart from that it was a good guitar.
On the whole I prefer the HB TE because the neck is far superior IMO, i.e. far more playable. I hate when the back of the neck is glossy and I'm not too much into narrow tall frets. As to the pickups, the ones on the CCV were better, the tuners were also better. The HB is slightly lighter and of course you need to give far less money.

Many thanks bertrand, The neck is one of the big things for me. I like a flatter radius, and also like a more satin feel to the neck. In terms of pickups they are a relatively easy one to swap out and having sampled some of the budget offerings that are available, I can pick up a set of great sounding ones for not much money at all. My TE-52 has the 4 way switch mod so that is also something that will probably dictate me swapping out the pickups. I'm hoping the TE-25TH will have better tuners than the 62 as they are locking ones. - I think I'm talking myself round to the HB!!

The tuners on the HB TE-62DB CAR I tested were holding tuning well, it's just that they were small, hard to turn and I had to spend more time to tune each string.
