....waiting for a TE-53 to arrive.....worried about the neck profile... Lots of reviews say the neck is THICK'ish..
How does the neck compare to (say) a real Tele Player or such....
My Squier Bullet fells nice..is it thicker / bigger than that....?

.....the TE-53 arrived earlier...looks good... Set-up straight out of the box - pretty nice. (probably 9's - very light for me..) The NECK profile - as I thought a bit thicker than I would have liked but still very playable. I've got small'ish hands, short fingers so that extra thickness does make a difference.... The WEIGHT....WOW ! - Yes it's heavy.... Perhaps just a bit too much ? I play at home - got a few guitars....never had any problems with weight... After about 20 minutes just playing my usual rubbish I found the guitar really digging into my right leg...starting to become very uncomfortable. Had to stop - stand up and get my leg back.... It plays and sounds very nice - all my favourite riffs and runs went without a hitch..... BUT - I've NEVER had to use a strap for support on any guitar while sitting and playing at home.... I'll order a wide strap and see how it go's.... All-in-all ---a very well made instrument..good straight neck, no warping or twist. If it wasn't for the weight I'd give it a 10 out of 10 for playability and value.

....had a 're-think'......I can't live with that weight....takes the fun out of playing with that weight on my leg.... why do you need a strap while sitting down ? sending it back for a refund...
