So, just for fun, if you could spec any bass for Harley Benton, what would it be? No matter how "off the wall" you specs may be, post it, who knows if someone will one day read this thread and produce the bass of your dreams

I will start. Unfortunately my GAS canges regularly, so I am always wanting something different, but for a while I have been strongly GASing for another shortscale bass. If I could choose, it would be a 30" scale, with a modern shaped body, active/passive mode, with a 3 band EQ. Either soapbar pickups or a P/MM setup, with standard size pickups to enable swapping easily. 4 string and 5 string would be available, with 6 string possibility in the future. A natural finish (although a couple of non-standard colours would be good also), with either a black & white Zebrawood finish, or some other busy wood, such as spalted maple. The body shaped would be something between the Curbow shape, and the Callowhill (either would work for me ) The four string version would have a P bass shaped neck (42mm at nut), and the 5 string sould have 16mm string spacing. The neck should also be bolt on, with steel inserts, so I could easily remove the neck when travelling. Please issue a hard case to match! Am I asking too much??

I would like to see HB versions of: Ampeg plexi-bass Ampeg scroll-bass or the Eastwood clone Lemmy's Ric that has various leaf and such motif carved into the body. What are the chances?

Maybe with more strings it's less of a struggle. (hide)

I know it might seem boring, but I really adore the Epi Gothic Series instruments! So I have to go for this:
And since HB does so many similar instruments already, I think it should be easy to just paint some of them in satin black!

That would be a pretty easy refin project (although a decent matt finish is more difficult to achieve than most people think).

First post! My dream bass is without any doubt the Gibson EB-1, it's unlikely that I could ever afford one, so please Harley Benton! The violin bass is nice enough, but not quite what I would like.
