Last August Thomann released the wonderful BZ series.I knew of a few others interested and we all pre-ordered then settled down to wait on 26/08/14,the day Thomann took delivery Except they arrived early and mines arrived in Scotland on the 27th instead of the expected 29th At the time I had a few similar basses and wanted to see how Harley Bentons performed at the higher end.We know they do great at the lower end. The box arrived and this beautiful glossy bass was mine.I like thru-neck basses and active electrics and natural finishes so it ticked the right boxes,I also had played Ebonol fretboards before. It was perfect, no flaws in the finish or raised frets, even was in tune The gloss finish neck isn't sticky like some can be.It balances well and fit the body comfortably. At 2 or 3 times the price you wouldn't complain with the build quality. I lined up Peavey Cirrus and Millenniums,a Vintage V1004 and a Traben Neo as they're the basses it would be competing with and I also added my Grind. Strong on the mids the BZ held it's own against them all and I preferred it's neck to the Vintage.Noiseless electrics that work very well it is a welcome addition to my clan. Though the weak euro has forced Thomann to raise prices I still highly recommend this quality bass. It is a bargain. Now the pictures.

Nice looking machine! Hope you'll have a lot of fun with it.
Only one thing I don't like about it: Not available left handed. (paperbag) (but that's no fault of Harley Benton, they already offer a lot more lefty variety than most other brands do)

It should be available left handed. None of the more expensive models are left handed, That's a major oversight by Thomann.
