Epiphone Les Paul Studio

I bought/stole an Epiphone Les Paul Studio yesterday.
It was on EBay advertised as collection only and about 15 miles from me. It had been listed twice at higher price before & I had watched it, but as I don't have any money to spend on guitars at the minute, I let it pass.
It was resisted on Friday evening at a price I couldn't resist. The next cheapest one on eBay was £190, I got this one with a hard case & a little amp for £80. It's in cracking order, with only a few little marks on the body.
Bit of a bargain. I think.

Hell of a nice price for that package moto. I never seem to find anything anywhere near me for a collection only (thank goodness!). To be honest I get totally baffled by the endless Les Paul models out there. Is this the one without the maple cap? If so does that cap really make a difference to the tone?

No maple cap, but mahogany with carved top, there are a couple of models below it in the range with flat top. It was too good to miss.
