So, as I said, a college student here, money is very short, and i'm looking for an affordable amp that's good for the money. so I found this amp head The Kustom defender 5h, wich is a 5watt all tube head, wich i decied to get with a 2x12 cab from harley benton, what do you think of that head or the cab too? Did anybody try it? Are there better alternatives for the money?

The cabs appear to be very well regarded. I don't know anything about that head though. Are you looking for something to gig with?

I was looking at buying that head but after researching alot I've found out it does not have much clean headroom. Well suited for overdriven sounds but if you are after clean playing look elsewhere.

Yeah mostly Gig, because i got the Harley Benton British Sound pedal for recording, dont really know if an all tube 5watts head and a 2x12 cab is enough for small to average gigs?

I like to play blues and hard rock, i always have an overdrive sound, even tho it might be really subtle sometimes, but yeah i rarely play with a clean sound

Hi bendrix...as your not fussed for clean headroom this type of set up for gigging can work but it depends on some variables such as size of venue, how loud the rest of the band are (especially the drummer) etc. If the venue has a PA to mic up your cab it won't be a problem.
