Hi guys,
My grand plan to buy my first HB at the same time as my first acoustic has taken a hit with the plummeting pound against the euro. So for now I'm going to have to wait until later in the year to get my first HB.
My budget for an electro acoustic is going to be a maximum of £250. I've been looking at Fenders - the CD60CE, CD100CE and CD140CE all for in budget. I've also seen the Takamine GD11MCE.
Does anyone have any experience of any of these, or can recommend something in my price bracket?

I've got either the 100CE or the 140CE Fender guitar and it's an amazing acoustic guitar, everyone tells me how great the sound is and how great it plays. I've had it now for about 6 to 8 years I think.
Are you planning to get a Harley Benton later and now a different brand of guitar? I don't quite understand what you mean.

Thanks Marit.
Sorry not very clear...was going to get an acoustic (wasn't sure which) and an sc450+ at the same time. But now the sc450+ will come later.
Do you know what the difference is between all the cheap fender models? I'm a bit confused. The 140 looks like it has better electrics, but I don't know what the difference is between the 60 and 100. I was looking at the cd60ce all mahogany.

I'm surprised Marit didn't recommend the HB 41SE that we both have - just about busts your budget but a lovely guitar in every way and I don't have any of those Fender models but I'd expect the HB is much better. I love mine and can't stop playing it.

True, dodger! But I really like my Fender too and think the sound is more versatile.
