Love that brigde pickup, its so awesome. Next mods will be replace the tuners, the eletronics and the bridge. I am so happy with this guitar. HARLEY BENTON RULES. Sorry for my english... Keep rocking !

It trully deserve it have already done the preliminary work by plugging a couple of holes in the pickguard to make it a 5 screw one(still have to finish it and give it a satin look) after that is butterscotch time

I'm thinking about buying one of these. What kind of tuners are you adding to it? Also, how does the guitar look without the blackguard?

Also, how does the guitar look without the blackguard? unless you like a industrial look, not that good! the shielding paint was done by me, there isn't any standard. the routing in the front can fit anything from de standard single to P90 and humbucker. the pic doesn't show it that well but theres about 5mm space top and bottom from the cover.

It's interesting to see they've routed it for a humbucker. I'm still wondering about one of these, but I might wait until I see one in the flesh. A drive to Germany might well be on the cards.

Thanks, man. That's interesting about the possibility of a humbucker up front. What do you think about that front single coil?

I've read lots of reviews saying the bridge pickup is amazing and a few saying the front pickup less so. I was looking at a twang king front pickup from dimarzio, but now a p90 might be interesting especially as Wilkinson ones are so reasonable and sound good.

I have the same one, but on the contrary, I found bridge pickup to be quite bright. There isn't much of the bass from the lower strings, but rather kind of a 'out of phase' sound. When I play on the bridge PU, I have to turn down a volume a bit because it sounds to sparkly and bright. Oh, the guitar is a lefthanded on, if that matters in anyway. Bout PU sounds like a tele shuold sound, a bit bright because of the bridge PU, but twangy. I like neck PU though, I's dark, but I found it perfect for kind of a back alley blues with a good amount of reverb.

I have this guitar as well, seems you got a pretty nice body there, close to rivaling my very own beauty! Personally replaced the tuners with genuine Kluson vintage tuners but was pretty close to perfect otherwise, still love to pick that guitar up!
