White wall control knobs and an 8 ball switch tip. We're slipping into hot rod territory DefJef. Seriously though you've given me my TE-80 FLT next colour scheme.

DefJef, build it and they will come. Well after much pondering I've done it. I preferred the black one to what Thomann had. £199 from Andertons with free shipping and should be in my greasy paws by Tuesday. The pick guard is parchment but that might get changed to black.

Hi, I own the Squier Deluxe(the sss model) and I'm very impressed by the quality of this guitar. I use to own a Fender deluxe which I sold a few years ago and the squier is almost just as good. Of cause the pickups and electronics are cheaper on a Squier and the body wood is basswood and not ash/alder, but I'm still impressed by the Squier. I bought the guitar brand new from thomann. When I received the guitar it needed a little setup( intonation, string high etc.) I added a few extra springs to stabilize the floating bridge a bit because I play a lot of leads in country / blues style. Another thing is that it is a good idea to shield the guitar with some cobber foil because the single coils can be a bit noisy.

Good to hear jfj84, not read much bad about them. I'm hoping copper isn't needed on the hotrails but if it is I'll add it when I change the guard.
