Was researching those at some stage but read too many times things like "too much noise" so I passed on these. @defjef has one I think, he might give you the actual review.

Thoughts on these amps? Thinking of getting one for home use. I wrote a long old review a couple of days ago. Not for the first time it doesn't seem to be here now so instead I've copied and pasted an old one that I did: "Having gone all out for the 40 watt version, switching pedal and all, I was extremely underwhelmed with the sound, performance and versatility of these amps and sent mine back. I was still niggling away at wanting a little amp that I could take out in the garden or around the house...to work even...and began reading about Yamaha's THR10s and 5s. They sounded and looked lovely but far more expensive than I could justify. So I rethought my Blackstar decision, got a good deal on the id core 10 and went for it. I must say I'm far more pleased with it than its bigger cousin. Gone is the footswitch option but I don't miss it, the amp's only ever an arm's length away. The low level fizz is still there even though Blackstar have sent me a new kettle lead because they have had unspecified 'issues' with the supplied one, but this time I don't seem to mind because this amp is now clearly a play thing and has cost me very few peanuts. It is still more than loud enough for the purpose for which I bought it. It's nice and small and very luggable ('lug' is hardly even an apt word as it is mostly a wood dust box of air). Not stylish or at all lovable to look at but the sounds that it can achieve from subtle bright with a touch of tremelo to nasty, gated super overdrive are great fun. Of course there is also the stereo wide feature that will bounce your delays around impressively to left and right but despite this it still seems very directional and always sounds best with your face about 4 feet away from the speakers, sitting anywhere else seems to emphasize the bassy, boxy sound. I wondered whether there was anything that could be done about this; perhaps the back could be ported (I have messaged Blackstar about this question and several others but they never ever reply). The only way to find out for me was to unscrew the control panel on top and take a peak inside. This was a revelation: there is nothing much inside at all. The two speakers are seemingly mounted between the front grille and the amp itself with just two cutouts for their rear magnets to poke into the box. A light cable travels from the power supply at the back and everything else circuit board-wise is attached to the control panel. So all of the inside is boxy space with clear side and back panels. Porting this would be a doddle, but would it improve the sound? I decided to leave the control panel off and play a little guitar. The sound was so much better. The stereo from the front was still great but now there was room for the sound from the backs of the speakers to rush out too giving me far more of a natural roomy sound. If I could I would hinge the top to flip up but that doesn't look possible so I'll wait till my amp is out of warranty, if it isn't already because I've used a screwdriver on it, and port either the back or maybe even the sides to extend the stereo effect. Hell, I might even go so far as to recover it in a Tortex or tweed of my choice and actually give it a huggable demeanour too. With a little attention this amp could really up its game." Hope that's of some use. If not, ask me more and I'll try to help.

Thanks defjef. I managed to find an old friends contact number from 2 years ago and he is your typical muso First thi9ng out of his mouth was Fender Bronco 20 watt. As he has no interest in Fender or any music shops I took his advice as I trust him. So, search over. I will post my thoughts.

That's a modeller of some classic Fender bass amps. I know the Bassman was popular as an early guitar amp too so might be nice. Have you ordered it?
