I'm turning 15 in exactly a week, and am looking to expand my HB Collection. My first electric is a RX-10 which I use in combination with a CG-10 bedroom amp. I also have a classical guitar by the way. But I want something electric that can sound clean, but also a bit dirty. So, two guitars are in my crosshairs: the HB TE-20 ( maybe TE-30) and the ST-20 HSS. Which do you suggest I should buy?

Never mind, I have already ordered a sunburst colored ST-20 HSS. When I receive the guitar, I'll post a review about it, it seems that there's a lack of reviews of the HSS-model.

Nice choice riemersma Looking forward to your review & pictures, gotta have pictures. I'm looking to add another HB guitar in a months time or so. I'm looking at their electric 12 string Ric copy to add to my collection.

Yeah that's the one. I could never afford the Rickenbacker model but this one will do just fine. I need the jangle of a 12 string guitar in my life.

I think it's best that you made your own decision. Which was better will depend on the sound that you want, and the design (e.g. neck width) that you want. I have a Yamaha Pacifica which is SSH, with push-pull coil tap on the hum bucker. It makes a wide range of tones.
I hope you enjoy the guitar.

I hope so too, thanks mate I was hoping to get some warnings if for instance the average TE-30 has a problem with the bridge or something. Because then I could wait with purchasing one (or just buy an other one). But I thought, damn that sunburst strat looks nice... Couldn't wait . Maybe I'll buy a Tele later on...

I bought the Candy Apple Red ST-20 HSS for my daughter last month. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, nice to look at, plays in tune & stays in tune. As you should expect considering the price, the hardware isn't brilliant quality. But the pickups sound quite good. It did need a full setup to get it playing at its full potential, but that's true of any new guitar these days.

Of course I didn't expect brilliant hardware quality for the ridiculous price of 79 euros, so if the good people at Saein don't make any major flaws when constructing the body and frets etc.: I'm happy! After all, it's supposed to be a guitar for the clean stuff, because I love my upgraded RX-10. But if you try to play "pretty" clean stuff, it's like a dog with rabies trying to escape from a cage. The Thomann site wasn't lying when it said the standard pick-ups are high-gain...
