I just discovered today that I can use my HB Dyna Comp as a volume/boost pedal and it does a fine job. You see it has a Level knob Reason behind be fiddling with the Compressor was me old Kustom amp. As soon I go up with the Master Volume I get that hum you know so now I can "Master Volume" the amp with me HB Dyna Comp and get it to be loud but without the hum. This also fixed me issue with the NUX Chorus pedal wich was stealing some volume. Not sure if this can help you but you could try it out instead of buying a Booster.

Would down stream of the wah pedal work?

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

You mean the compressor, mrdes ? (or should we now all be calling you Mr Desire?). It might although I don't particularly like the compressor on all the time so I would have to put it in the loop too. I like the idea though. I did have one other thought: why not pick up a little cheap volume box and turn down the level of my main signal chain till it matches that of the wah. Or a volume pedal - more versatile - but have it backed of a shade until I need the wah. But then my head exploded at the complexity of it all and I decided to have a jam scone instead.

I mean putting a pedal between the output of the wah before the amp to boost the signal after wah pedal. Guitar goes into wah, then into booster pedal (could be compressor or distortion etc but clean sounding) then into the amp. That way the attack going into the wah would be unaffected.

An eq pedal perhaps? Might give you more options?

An eq pedal perhaps? Might give you more options? I did spot an eq pedal that seemed to have a level adjust knob but I couldn't be clear that it wasn't just a volume knob that would only lower the volume and wouldn't raise it above the wah's natural level. I think I know what I'm doing this weekend; pedal and effects loop juggling. Definitely think I'm going to need a loop box to true bypass the wah.

I noticed that too on my American sound. Doesn't bother me much though.
Theres a forum somewhere where they did a complete circuit analysis of that pedal - with a view to modding it to suppress the speaker simulation. I must find the link.
