Hi folks
i have an Epiphone EJ160e that has (I think!) a P100 humbucker and was wondering if I need a DI box to boost the signal before running it to a mixer because it's a passive pickup with no battery.
I know the obvious answer is to try it through the PA but i don't have the luxury of bring 2 guitars to a gig so I can't!
Anyone any experience of this kind of pickup or guitar straight to PA?

As far as I know a guitar is slightly higher level than a microphone so going into a mic input and turning down the gain on the channel should get u sound.
