Hello! I wanted to know your opinion on a bass of Harley benton vs yamaha in this case wanted to know would fare well served with the HBZ-2005 bass Harley or would be a waste to buy a yamaha trbx305 leaving aside a brand that for some musicians to be considered a white mark but with enough quality. My main doubt was to invest in the bass harley benton could be a good instrument compared to the sound quality and materials that other brands like Ibanez, sterling, epiphone, LTD, Cort, Stagg, etc.

I don't own the HBZ-2005, so I can't really give you an opinion other than the reviews that I have read/seen from others. I have read more positive than negative comments, some people love this bass but I have also read a few were people have not been at all happy. However, with the return policy you can always try it and if you are not happy, send back and swap to the Yamaha.
Personally I was very tempted with the Yamaha 305, but in the end I fell in love with the LTD in spalted maple, so I only really got to test drive the Yamaha for a short period, but it seemed like a nice bass (taking into consideration that at the time I didn't have any experience on a 5 string).

I've got an TRBX304 but never played a HBZ-2005.
All I can say is that the yamaha plays extremely smooth & comfortable, and is very well build without flaws. It has a lot of tonal options and can blend in all kind of genres.
But: The sound is very hifi like. What it lacks for me is some character.
