I've always been a fan of the Squier range & recently bought a sonic blue Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster, I tried most of their Classic Vibe & Vintage Modified models in a guitar store a few months ago & was blown away by them. My favourite being the Jazzmaster. It has its own funny quirks regarding the bridge but once set up correctly it plays beautiful.

I'm no expert on guitars, but that bridge is definitely different.
BTE, is that photo from when it was first taken out of the box, or do you keep your guitars that clean? If you do, congratulations, mine are dirtier when I get them out of the box!

Yeah the pivoting bridge is a bit weird at first to get used to, A lot of reviews say the strings sometimes jump off the threaded saddles but I've never had that problem, the only problem I had was the intonations screws were a bit long & the string sometimes caught on them to make the note dead. I ordered a mustang bridge from China, under £5 delivered. Great piece of kit but the strings don't align with the pole pieces of the pickup magnets & they put the high & low E strings nearer the edge of the fretboard. But hey all was not lost, the intonation screws on the mustang bridge were shorter than the jazzmaster ones so I used them on the original threaded barrel saddles of the jazzmaster, now it's perfect.
LOL that pic was taken after I put a set of rotosound reds 11's on it & polished it with some spray on car wax. I was a bit wary about the 11's thinking they might be a tad to heavy to bend etc but the 11's strings made a big difference over the 9's it came with, much better feel & pronounced tone plus there seems more tension on the bridge to stop the occasional buzz.
