Just got me this for £10. Built in Italy for a change. For a plastic pedal this feels nice and solid. No pedals should be jumped on so no reason not to gig it. The motion is heel down off/toe down on which is nice and intuitive. Rubber feet make it non slip. I placed mine after all of my effects but before delay pedal then into amp. This sounded so natural and allows total control of your onstage volume - even if you are using a compressor/sustainer or some other pedal that wants to raise your volume - without resorting to the guitar's own volume knob which, in the case of a compressor/sustainer pedal would simply lead to more background noise as the comp/sus pedal would simply be trying to bring your signal up higher again. Swells are really easy once you are used to the travel of the pedal. I'm guessing this is an audio taper potentiometer as the volume seems to come in somewhat less than gradually. I might open it up once it's past its warranty period and see if a linear taper does a more precise job. All in all though, I love it. Looking forward to combining it with my ebow or some feedback.

Mine was from the German company DV247.com but you can find them on ebay and Amazon too.

Thanks! So it has good sensitivity right? Good enough. As I say it may be an audio taper pot as there is no audible swell in the first quarter of the travel. Try doing swells on your volume knob and see if you like the effect. Then find out if it's audio taper or linear. I think I might prefer linear but I'm not too fussy. If it bothers me I'll open it up and check out if I can try a different pot in there - it's only a guitar vol pot after all. It's not bothering me at the moment. I could even toy with popping a bit of something under the heel so that it doesn't travel so fully off and it's on the cusp of a swell...IF it ever bothers me! I'm surprised how useful it's turning out to be. My imagination's running wild with the possibilities. I quite fancy trying playing through two amps and swelling the second one in with some crazy delay or effect on it.

Oh and totally crackle free with a huge dollop of grease in the treadle.
