After numerous beatings from papache telling me to work on the tones and stop buying guitars I've finally listened to him and am I glad that I did. I borrowed one of these last Friday, more out of politeness, as I'm not a fan of multi s. I've had the usual Zoom, Line 6 and never got on with them for various reasons. I took him it back yesterday and mine turned up today. The sounds are incredible, everything from ultra clean to really dirty Stoner / Doom / Sludge. The amp sims work, the effects are pure Boss with nice additions like the big muff, tube screamer and Rat and its as simple as using an amp, mainly knobs with the odd press of a switch needed but really for editing, not playing. This thing makes me want to pick up a guitar and not put it down. I'm converted, I may be gone for a while.

Nice purchase john. These kind of Boss multi fx are far closer to my cup of tea than things with toggle buttons and menus . They closely replicate a more familiar pedal chain. I always thought that Boss had it about right with the ME-50. Couple of tweaks and it would be good for 2017. Maybe the ME-80 DefJef? I was looking at one but a bit over budget. cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/d3fa298b3a25d232a6909efa9732c7ae.jpg

Nice one mate! Never tried BOSS multi-fx but would love to. It's only thanks to my Digitech RP70 that I played guitar every single day until it started sounding too perfect. But a blast for anyone wanting to keep playing because it gives many options.
Some days I feel like distortion then maybe clean delay sounds, then comes the wobbly tremolo or maybe wah day and these multi boxes have it all. Very handy for exploring ones preferred sound/even tone.
I will not go for multis again but would always recommend to those having difficulties to pick up guitar every day, if even for 10 minutes.

They were not for me either till I borrowed the GT-8. I've had a more than I can remember over the years and definitely wasn't having another. Oops. Best amp Sims I've heard and the effects are faithful Boss pedals.
