I have just received my new VOX vt-20+ Classic Limited amp! This amp is a real looker VOX should keep this look for all their amps instead of the pain black color. The Wah Wah sounds perfect, I love it. Lots of good sounds and possibilities to create patches. The only issue I have with it is the hissing. I dont use single coils, I have a L-450Plus HB with humbuckers so hissing is not due to the single coils. Will see if I can get used to this hissing if not I will return it and buy another amp instead. I will try to make a video sound check with it in a few days. I have to get to know it first

The Wah and the Filtron sound perfect on this thing. I was paying it a few hours yesterday and today and to be honest my ears hurt a bit after listening to it and I dont even play loud. My Digitech multi effect pedal makes such nice sounds and its enjoyable to play it via headphones even loud and afterwards I feel happy. With the VOX I feel exhausted kind of when played via the speaker or via the headphones. It sounds harsh no matter how I adjust the Treble, Middle and Bass. Even the digitech pedal sounds harsh through this amp both phones and speaker. Im not sure I will keep this but will play it a bit more before deciding ...

OK, an update; After playing and fiddling some more with the knobs I realized that if I have the Treble on 0 (take it all off) the sound is much richer and has no harshness. So I use Middle to the full and Bass on 3 o'clock (sometimes full on) and it sounds nice and fat and warm. So I think I will keep it and play with it more to figure out the amp because in all fairness this amp is a LOOKER and seems like solid built to last. This amp also makes the guitar volume and tone pots more sensitive than my Digitech RP70 multi pedal (who's sound I adore), which is also a plus. and the tube power knob is just juicy As said I will do a you tube video once I know what Im doing on it, with my L-450Plus of course.

I dunno ... the amp sound is missing something ... I cant tell what but it sure doesn't sound as rich as my Digitech RP70 multi pedal which produces such lovely sounds. The problem is I cant use pedals with this modeling VOX amp, tried it and it sounds crap.
I wrote above that if I turn the Treble down to 0 it sounds better but this is not the case once I change other amp settings.
I think it would be best to return it while I still can, I cant keep it for its looks, I need the sound Im after. Bullocks

No, sorry. I just didnt enjoy the sound at all so I didnt want to do it. Some people might actually like that bit of hissing and stuff so dont want to put them off the amp because the amp is gorgeous and is packed with features but my Digitech RP70 sound via headphones is my sound norm and Im after that or close to it so still searching. Im after a "Mesa Boogie dirt and Fender clean" kind of amp (paperbag)
I might try the Kustom Defender 5H head and the 2x12 Harley benton vintage cab and see how that goes. After seeing the russian guy on you tube that amp is very much guiet and has great cleans for me to plug my Digitech into
