Just got this on Friday, my first all valve amplifier combo. Loving the sound of it! A copy of the Fender Blues Junior, just with more controls, a few hundred cheaper and 20watts instead of 15. I believe these are branded Belcat in the UK, there isn't much info available, on the internet Powered by 3 X 12AX7s and 2 X EL84s, all Electro Harmonix, driving a 12" Celestion Seventy 80 $499AUD from local retailer, Artist Guitars in Sydney, introductory offer included a Belcat footswitch and leather guitar strap Seems to be well put together, but the tweed is fake.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Very nice clone thunderbird . I'm not sure that Belcat do anything quite so close to the Blues Junior as that. Gear4Music do this which I guess spec wise is very similar (didn't they used to be Belcats?). Subzero Tube-20R just £269 (what's that in Ozzie Dollars? About 430 AUD?) And those extra 5 watts too. Yummy. How is the tweed fake? Just printed plastic?

Yeah you're about right on the price conversion, mate. Just thought I would mention the extra wattage, not really required by myself, though. This video of a Belcat is the closest I could find to this amp, but I guess it isn't available any more: This is the actual video of this amp, made by the people who imported it:

Used to have a Blues junior myself. Beautiful clean through to crunch sound.
The amount of clean headroom was an issue for some. How is it with the extra 5W?
Enjoy!

sound and looks like a great amp. but judging by the controls alone a doubt very much that the subzero is the a clone. the artist has a separate clean and drive channel and the master has a separate volume also, all of witch the subzero has not.

Yes, but I think the sub zero (or Belcat, the supplied foot switch is Belcat branded) is the basis for the Artist. Artist always has gear made to their specs, which are usually better than most, for example: fret nibs on their $400 LP copy

Yeah, the dimensions of the headstock are spot on, someone handy with wood working wouldn't have a problem modding it. I think the model with the fret nibs is similar to the old HB L450 (but that isn't available over there) and we know what happened there
