I promissed to do a couple of pics and a short review of my new amp. Last week I bought a 2nd hand Laney LC50. Guy I bought it from thought is was the 1st model, but I think it's the 2nd due to the user guide I downloaded from the internet. He got it from somebody who wasn't to careful with it. The tolex was ripped on several places. He replaced the speaker with a Celestion G12H-100 and replaced the tubes with TAD el34B-str tubes. I fiddled around with it a couple of times now. I especially like the clean channel on it. It's a good, clean sound. Perfect for pedals. It's unbelievably loud, so I didn't have the opportunity to play it over volume 2. That'll have to wait for a gig some day. The dirty Channel is nice, but I didn't took enough time to set it up to my liking yet. The reverb is a nice one, so no need for a separate revert pedal. On a 2nd note; He was positively surprised of the sound of my HB TE-52 And best of all; I only paid €190,- for it! In my opinion a good price for a decent amount. Some eye candy;

It's pretty bright, but still warm sounding. What I noticed so far, it that it really starts to hum when plugged in on a ungrounded outlet. It's very sensitive to that

In my livingroom I only have ungrounded. So next time I'm using a grounded extension cord to the kitchen, the outlets are grounded there.
