Here's the thing.I want to get rid of the high F, move the others down & get a low F# in there. Can i use top-loading with this bridge?String-thru-body severely limits my options due to extra-long scale length. Any info would be highly appreciated. Thank you all for your time. Cheerz!

It certainly looks like top loading is an option.I top load all my basses with mono saddles. Good luck with the low F# tuning,I found tuning up a nightmare. Pedal tuner didn't recognise the low F# and my shot hearing struggled too.

Thanks Kodiakblair, Yeah, hearing might be an issue.I'm only recording though so tuning it won't be much of a problem.Let's see if my monitoring system can assist me on everything else.Fingers crossed. Just wanted to make sure i won't damage the bass.

I was using the Rotosound F# set and it was a meaty 0.175. The nut needed filed to take the string. There's no chance you'll damage the bass, that multi laminate neck is super strong

Thank you so much.

Someone reckoned top loading of strings wasn’t recommended. I presume the screws holding the bridges on aren’t particularly robust. Might be worth checking!
On the question of strings with through body stringing, I need a new set and am wondering what scale length I need. I presume extra long and a set of 6 and a high F separately unless anyone now does a 7 string set.
