Does anyone know of any brands of decent value lightweight tuners, other than Gotoh, Hipshot and Schaller? I know Wilkinson designed sone tuners that are made by Gotoh, but they are not a lightweight tuner (and they are Gotoh prices  ). Any other options you know of out there? |

This'll give you an idea of why Hipshot want you to buy Hipshot  www.hipshotproducts.com/files/all/ulite_weights.pdf. I say "**** THAT". Get a wrist or ankle weight,the thing like a sweatband, and run your strap through it. The weight down by the bottom strap button will counter any weight at the headstock. If it's part of a plan for an overall lighter bass don't expect a civil answer from a 12lb T-40 player  |

Some of us are small and petite (I'm not talking about me, I'm 6ft and 15 stone, which makes shorties look even better! ). I wouldn't buy the Hipshots, but rather the "Hip Shot Liscensed" 'cos I'm tight. They are just a hell of a lot cheaper in the US than anywhere I have found in Europe ($12 each from BSO). I'm thinking that if I go with headless tuners and an allen key, they would be even lighter |
