Mine too DefJef. I'm very encouraged though by how well these amps have been received by the Jazz players (notwithstanding the fact that they are traditionally fond of Roland amps anyway) as well as by those who like valve driven grittier and crunchier tones. I also like the fact that they have been 'hacked' to reveal additional amp models not otherwise available. Both because they exist in the first place and because Boss deliberately 'hid' them so as to not compromise the usability of the amp - marketing has been very much about pitching this amp to folks who want to just plug in and go....witness the blurb below..

I'm interested in whether it hisses like a snake. No hiss. There is also an adjustable noise gate in the computer interface. If you're plugged in and stand really close to the amp there is quite a loud buzzing noise though.

And also more specifically does it hiss like a snake when there is no sneaky 'noise gate' (I hate those things) applied? Reports seem positive in that regard but the proof of the pudding etc.. I believe it does not have a flat range speaker that contributes to hiss than can afflict many modelers. The Katana speakers are guitar amp speakers.

I presume the buzzing is the guitar pickups picking up some electromagnetic interference from the amp...

Hmm, I haven't bothered doing anything to the noise gate.
I can give it a go tomorrow,

When I plug my unshielded ST-20 into Bandit 122 it hums and hisses when Tone or Volume are not on Maximum (on max there is no hum/hiss) On my Bugera there is no hiss at all with this same guitar! Bugera has won my heart!

Seems to be a major buzz about these Katanas alright...here's a great little video of Anto Drennan - currently touring as part of Mike & the Mechanic's band. Only rig he's using is the Katana 212 and footswitch.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Damn, those hacks looks interesting. Maybe I would plug this one in to my computer for a while.
