I heard orchestral music in various churches as well as concert halls. The sound can vary greatly with the venue and of course the listener's location inside.
If there is a PA and a sound tech, then it's their job to mix it all to sound good. I was just watching Darrell demonstrate compressors and thinking guitar players are being tricked into buying tools outside of their trade. I know it's not completely true and a compressor can even out unwanted disparities between strings or simply forgive sloppy playing but the whole industry strongly relies on people to want things they don't really need.
This changes, however, when the guitar amp stands on its own aside of the PA. What happens if you set the Katana on top of the Bass amp? How long would it take to vibrate off the cliff?

Of course the sound tech's main job is to maintain front of house sound. He tends not to ramble on stage mid gig and see what that cacophony sounds like. Your best shot is to gesticulate signs that he can interpret somehow...if he's not staring at his faders or chatting up a Stevie Nicks lookalike. It would be a dream to have a dedicated stage mix sound tech but I suspect we'll never be in that league . I've no idea what sort of venue and budget you have to be in to get that. I guess we could rope in a friend/roadie to just do that...if they're not off chatting up the Stevie Nicks lookalike too..... I won't be balancing any amps on any bass cabs. Only the other day my bluetooth speakers wandered off a shelf as I was rehearsing to a backing track. Gave me quite shock!

Hi, I have the great deal to buy new Boss Katana 50 mk2 for 230€. I am very attempt to buy it but still need opinion from other owners. How is your experience about it? The reviwes are mostly great and the modelling amp is what I am looking for.

I guess it all depends on what you expect and want tojla . I have no idea what your style and current sound uses and it might be disastrous at it. What I WILL say is that I use my Katana 50 MkI a whole load more than anything else. It sits ready in my room to instantly come on and be available for sketching out ideas, playing along to the telly or noodling about with. It gets yanked into the garden for jams. It comes to rehearsals and it comes to gigs. Is it the best SOUNDING amp ever? Probably not but its far away from the worst. It somehow never sounds B-I-I-I-I-G but it can sound loud. I've tried it through different speaker cabs but none gave it any more heft. Then again I play with single coils and PAF users may totally disagree, so your own signal path will have a huge impact on your experience with it too. Plus your ears get used to a sound and after a while you just adapt to it. If I suddenly decide to swap from a thing that I was doing on the Kat and do it on the Bugera V22 sitting next to it instead, I hear a VERY different sound. A wider, sweeter, bigger, airier thing. But I didn't notice that was missing whilst playing away the hours on the Kat. And even after noticing it I'm not necessarily encouraged to play the Bugera more and the Kat less - because of that aforementioned convenience. I'm just used to the Kat. No need for a pedal board or anything else cluttering up the room...but no doubt the sound WOULD be better if I bothered to string all my pedals and power sources and cables together and played through the Bugera instead... It is utterly silent on standby, is so convenient, has been simple to mod a little and is a nice wee size. Never had any luck with using the usb for recording but have tried the REC OUT and wasn't at all impressed. I think it would need some better cab sim and IR software than I have available to me. Not keen through headphones either - but then again I never am. I suppose it is a case of hearing what it does and going with that rather than endlessly wishing it was something else and trying to make it so. I could never complain that mine never warranted its second hand price though.

Exactly the same and thank you for an easier decision.
