I have an Affinity strat from about 2009 and so I am aware of the body depth difference there but can anyone tell me if ALL Affinities - telecasters, jazzmasters, latest strats - ALL have thinner bodies than regular Fenders? Or regular Harley Bentons, come to that.
Anyone got a bunch of them to compare?
And then there's the Bullet series. Cheaper than Affinities but, to my memory, these are full body depth again aren't they?

What a wonderful link saltee. Yes, I notice that they forget to mention the body thickness of the Affinity Strat and also omit entirely the model that we are most likely to see at pawn shops everywhere for around £60: the "Stop Dreaming Start Playing" pack one. This is not an Affinity and not a Bullet and doesn't have a thin body or a seventies headstock. In other words, it's the nicest budget one really.
I pointed out this omission to the author of the Squier book and he confessed that he could get no firm details out of Fender on this model so decided to just photograph the box and leave the guitar out of history altogether!
So, although it's not anything like rare it does remain a mystery.

And BTW, the Vintage Modified Jaguar Bass (not the special) isn't listed It seems impossible to find more info on this bass, as though Squier / Fender don't aknowledge it existed.
