Nice video - straightforward and to the point. Regarding shipping - I live in Ireland and packages from Thomann invariably spend a week in the international freight depot in Cologne waiting for a flight before they get to Ireland. Postage service in Germany and Ireland are very efficient but the international transit bit can be very slow.
Other points - 1. Rusty strings - I've had two HB guitars recently with them 2. High frets above 15th fret - I've had one guitar with that. 3. Black paint - for sure it is shielding paint. Great to see that too.

Thanks, salteedog, I'm not really complaining about the shipping, it's kind of expected when you live down here When you get guitars from Thomann, do the air bags shift to one side of the outer carton or are they wrapped around the inner carton? Is a hole in the fret board a big deal? I need some perspective here. I am now thinking that the buzzing E and A strings might be from the guitar getting a big drop, given that the foam neck support, in the inner carton, is split and also the slight damage to the headstock. If only they would send one with rusty strings, and no other issues, I would be a happy lad indeed.

Honestly I've never paid much attention to the airbags apart from noticing that they usually use loads of them. I think they just jam them into the spaces around the inner carton and dont attempt to wrap them around it.
Does the hole in the fretboard affect your playing? If not and if its not deep then its probably ok.

No, it's near impossible to make the string touch the board up there because the frets are so close together. I guess I could use some type of wood filler, if it started to bother me too much, luckily I am not too obsessive about stuff. I would be worried if it began to spread, though. I have written an email to Thomann, about these issues, I will be interested to see their response.

They might give you some credit to compensate for the issues. If you are in the antipodes then there is no way they will want you to ship it back. Also, I doubt the neck was knocked out of whack in transit - It far more likely to be some sloppy fret work. Try hammering the frets down with a soft mallet (I use the rubber handle of a big screwdriver for that ) I wouldn't worry about the fretboard hole at all - I probably have the same on some of my guitars and don't pay any attention to it.

I wrote to Thomann twice today and they replied immediately which is a good sign I think they have employed more people!

I received mine (paradise flame) 3 weeks ago. The Packing was crashed (I didn't see it immediately). When I opened the box I realized the headstock had been shocked. The neck edge had some cracks. I sent it back to Thomann and got a new one.
