YAY! Finally got round to ordering it and it's arriving today! A little advice please... I'm planning to put this guitar in D tuning with 13-56 gauge asap, and also want to oil the fretboard with some lemon oil. Can I do this today, straight away? The temperatures here have been around 15 degrees so there's not much temp change and it's definitely not extremely cold. I want to take off all the strings so I can give it a good "bath", I used to do 3 on 3 (first bass strings, oil, put new strings on, then treble strings, oil, new strings on) but in hindsight I wonder if that's any good for the neck since all the tension goes to one side, even if it's only for 15 minutes or so. Advice please, as a reward......... PICTURES!

Just last week I used some Ernie Ball fretboard conditioner,it's a wipe init's own pack, it came in a pack with string cleaner and instrument polish.the conditioner is very good, I left mine soaking in overnight before I wiped off any residue, both fretboards looked 100 times better.

Thanks dodger definitely is, will do some simple recordings with my phone tomorrow with original strings on it. BTW, LOVELY smell coming from the inside of the guitar! Different from the CLD-41SE, but YUMMY!

DefJef : yeah, they're acoustics are really on another level! And when it's you complimenting some block inlays, you know it's good stuff! Here's some simple recorded sound samples with stock strings; https%3A//soundcloud.com/maritjansen/sets/hb-clj-503ce

Sounds good, have a look at rosette, the shell part with the gloss finish on mine looks like it has some depth?that fretboard looks like rosewood to me,rose acre I doubt would actually have grain lines of any depth.cat seemed impressed to,size wise it's jumbo to other " folk " shape guitars? The lower bout is larger than the 41 ?

DefJef: thanks, worked! Yeah the block inlays look great, definitely these on the HB acoustics, the once on the King also look great. kwis: yeah I think it's rosewood, it's just strange to get a HB where the fretboard isn't dry it was just dusty and dirty. Yeah the rosette looks nice, is it the same as yours, they could've changed that overtime. Yeah the cats were very curious, they were playing with the box of course I haven't put it up against a dreadnought, it is sliiiightly smaller than the King (which is a big jumbo model), but not by much surprisingly. Thanks oghkhood and thunderbird, it's a great guitar!
