The guitar looks identical other than mine has no strap button on the heel, fret job looks nice from the pics, action looks quite low.

How do you compare the sound to the 41?

How do you compare the sound to the 41? I made some soundclips of the CLD-41SE, sound is a little more natural but the CLJ-503CE is beginning to grow on me, and I just got it so the sound will only get better. The CLD-41SE has Dean Markley BlueSteel phosphor bronze strings on it (12-54). I restringed the CLJ-503CE today with GHS Bright Bronze (13-56) and tuned it to D. Sound is still good and no buzzing https%3A//soundcloud.com/maritjansen/sets/sound-clips-cld-41se

Very nice instrument, happy NGD! I think rosewood is better, but it depends on current wood quality. Premium mahogany is better than low end rosewood. I like rosewood. Cheers!

Happy New Guitar Day!
That doesn't look like a crack on the fret board, not to me anyway. I hope it turns out to be everything you were hoping for.

A little update on this guitar that this is now only available with walnut back and sides and the ovangkol fretboard/bridge. Just like the CLD-28SCE and the 41SE, although those have returned as both rosewood and walnut models. www.thomann.de/nl/harley_benton_clj_503ce_wn.htm

How are you liking the guitar a few months down the line? It's been my go-to for the last month, plays great. It needs a string change but I love how easy it plays/feels. The smaller jumbo size makes it so comfortable. It's now got sort of a classic guitar sound to the strings, I'll be changing them out soon.

Yea it's a good guitar maybe often overlooked as it's classed as a jumbo? How does it compare size wise to the king model marit?

Everything is beautiful on this guitar but the most beautiful thing are the tuning peg buttons. I'm looking for the red ones to my CLD-30. Fits perfect I think.
