Brought to you by our lord and savior in command #1 Henning Pauly: Tube 5 seems like a great amp for little price, slightly more expensive than Bugera V5, but you get so much more Kong stuff.

The price difference between this and theV5 isn't even that big..but damn I'm impressed ! That's a great amp ! But I don't get why he got hesitant about the 15 version being gigable. I know a friend who gigs with the Bugera V5 in small venues and bars and such, and even for practice it's easily hearable over the drummer

I think it was a "better safe than sorry" approach.
It should be gigable in theory, but I don't think he wants people coming to his videos and complaining. He said the same thing about BantamPs, they should be enough for gigging at small venues and so on, but Henning described it more as a practise/recording amp.

Looks good but the Kong logo is ugly as hell.
Also whether good for gigging or not depends on if you play clean or not. Loud clean needs headroom which means more wattage. Loud compressed distortion could be okay with lower watts.

Just to get things straight. This nothing to do with the Big White Monkey Kong 5 watt amp?

I was not impressed by the FX Loop on the Bandit 112 amp. Felt my pedals sounded better direct into the front of the amp.

Yes but I want to use my reverb pedal and if I push the amp it sounds like crap with reverb in front of it. That's the problem with the Greta, it has almost no clean headroom at all.

Apparently the Japanese management could not understand the hilarity that resulted from the unveiling of their new corporate slogan at their manufacturing plant in Limerick - "Wang Cares"

It can depend on which pedals you are using and whether you are using the amp's overdrive or not papache. I agree that into my clean Fender there is little point in the effects loop but I am going to try mixing up my ME70 multi FX with my other pedals and swap 'em around a bit in and out of the loop.

I've heard what it sounds like with a strat (shrill!!!!!) I can't even imagine the needle to the brain they must be with a Telecaster or Jaguar. If I was a humbucker player I might've gone for these.
