My First Fender (Mexican)

I have ordered my first Fender Stratocaster from Thomann, $760Aud shipped, locally it would have cost at least $950 (If I was lucky). I am also trying to beat the new import duty, which comes into effect on the 1st of July

I just hope the QC gods favour me this time Wish me luck!

There was no duty on gear from overseas with a price of less than $1000Aud. That finishes at the start of the new financial year (1/7/2017).

Another tax on the working class by our current government. Gear will still be cheaper from OS, so it is just a grab for cash, not trying to help our retailers as they pretend. At this rate, may as well go and live in the UK

Mim fenders are brilliant, much better value than American... I have one a h h and it's truly a great guitar..

Great choice, I bought my MIM new in '94. Still my favorite guitar.
