Hey guys, i'm new to the forum. I'm considering to buy the HB CLG550CE from Thomann just because i love the looks, to be honest. Do you guys have any information about this guitar, is it good? how's the action? i couldn't find anything on the internet and there's only one review on Thomann. Thanks.

Generally the acoustic guitars are very, very good. At this price range you should be safe to get a very good acoustic guitar. I would definitely give it a go

I know Harley Benton has great value in that type of range, but, you know, there're a lot of companies that make great guitars and very crappy ones for pretty similar prices (Yamaha lol)

This looks so similar to my CLG414CE with added binding! Mine is lovely to play (after some adjustment to the bridge and nut heights) although the original action was OK. I cannot fault the fret setup. I should just mention that I find that the sound is very polite. There is not much sparkle from the unwound strings. Great if you like that sort of thing. Of course the CLG550 could be totally different but given the similarity in construction I would expect a similar polite sound.
