Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

What are Thomann up to? Surely one of these strats is all that's needed in their range? I suspect, as JAC recently did with the two whites he recently came across, that one of these will be a limited run to get rid of a wrong stock - but which one? If not they are very generous to be offering us such niche choices. I'd take the VW one. There seems to be no difference between them spec-wise and I notice that they are advertised as 22 frets when I'm only seeing 21 (or 42 if you add them together ).

They look like the #0001 Strat that David Gilmour owns. A very lovely guitar. He played that guitar at the Strat Pack show in 2004 for two songs, celebrating the 50th birthday of the Stratocaster.
The olympic white one looks like the Squier Classic Vibe 50's model which is now out of production, except the Squier had Chrome hardware and the back cover was gold anodized too.
The vintage white one seems to me more like a Desert Sand finish on the picture. It really looks like the Fender 60th anniversary Classic Player 50's Stratocaster that was released in 2014.
Shame on Thomann to release them now, as I've bought an original Fender 60th anniversary Classic Player 50's Stratocaster a month ago (which is hard to find on the used market now)! Those two babies seem lovely on the picture, I hope they'll be of better quality than the last runs from Harley Benton (had some problems with my ST-57DG). I'm not a big fan of the middle string tree at the headstock though, as I find it to block the access to the truss rod (something I experimented with my TE-70).

Same for me DefJef! I have a dozen of guitars right now, 3 of them are Teles, and one is a PRS. Everything else are Strats. But unfortunately I'm the only one at home who can understand that each of my Strats sounds and feels different from each other! And unfortunately, I don't have enough space for more guitars at the moment.

Maybe someone forgot to clean the machine before mixing the white?

I've seen your posts about the fret work on your model. Didn't had time to post some pics of mine as I was on holydays, but hopefully I don't have as much problems as you got. I'll post some pics on your thread soon so you'll be able to compare both your model and mine.

OK, thanks for the reply I have been in negotiations (emails back and forth) with Thomann, concerning the DG57's frets. They asked me to get a quote for the work, which I did, and sent it to them, they then tell me I need a "luthier stamp" on the quote (how you stamp an email is beyond me). It did seem like they were trying to avoid the 3 year warranty and I have been fuming over the last week or so, since that email, but today they sent one asking me to give them an address and a time for a courier to pick it up. Hopefully, a remedy is in sight. I did ask them to just send me a neck with my next guitar order, but they ignored that idea.

I'd much prefer different options for fretboard radius and neck thickness rather than alternative colour schemes.

What makes the price difference (these two 199.- vs 111.- for the "normal" ST-62s)? Is there another thing changed than the pickguards and the color of the hardware?

The following items become very handy if you're done with all those damn single guitar stands: You could find them here: Hercules Stands GSP-39WB Guitar WallmountNever running out of space again :
