"What makes the price difference (these two 199.- vs 111.- for the "normal" ST-62s)? Is there another thing changed than the pickguards and the color of the hardware?"
Yes, the difference is the anodized metal pickguard, the dold hardware and the one-piece neck which is two-piece in the "normal" st-62.

Thx morscherszenasi, the 2-piece necks of the "normal" ones are something I wasn't aware of... Is it a glued on headstock? Does this make a significant difference as for example the sound is concerned?

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Ah... I see... Thx guys...
But does this bring any benefit to the sound or overall quality? I still wonder abot the price tag of the DLX versions. Does anybody have a DLX St-62? I can't even find any review of these two...
Edit: I called Thomann a couple of minutes ago and the guy admitted that the anodized metal pickguard, the gold hardware and the build-in fretboard are the only differences to the standard version. So I think I will choose a standard version. Just have to figure out if I should take
a) the ST-62 MN VW Vintage (with a glued on maple fretboard) or b) the ST-62 RW VW Vintage (with a glued on rosewood fretboard)
Any advices about strength or weaknesses of these two versions?

I've also looking for some review about these two guitars, becouse they are beautys. But i think i would replace th ebridge and the tuners, so only the pickguard is the plus for me.And i like more the rosewood fingerboards as the maple. O.K., i know it's not rosewood. But i prefer this more than the two in the top of this topic: My wife promised she will buy it as Christmas gift. I think, i will change the pickguard and pickups and tuners and the bridge. It will be a great instrument.I have a TE-30 which is also good guitar and i want to buy an SC custom ocean flame and my rig will be complete.

Yes and the hole guitar as well. But seriously, i think the most important parts of the guitars is the wood.If it's good, the guitar is full of chances.I like to make my guitars to my taste.Pickups(i prefer humbuckers, especialy the EMG's), pots and the hardware change could to results better instruments as the stock.Of course if the wood is good. But it don't have sustain or playability and comfort you would change anything it won't helps about it.
