Thanks for the review man! I don't think this guitar is much better value than the St62 series don't you think? Well done Thomann for fixing your issues!

Did you notice that the neck is ONE PIECE item. I don't think you can find a neck with a mapple fret board that is not a glued on one anywhere else on the market

I've found one piece necks on Aliexpress sold from UK for about 50 US or so.
Is there a tonal difference between one piece and 2 piece maple necks?

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

But what is it with these three ply plates that are just not supposed to be on these?

Knowing that the typical feeling of a mapple neck is sounding more aggressive on the attack than rosewood - even more than ebony -. A glued on fretboard is quite liable to tune down this characteristic The more than in one piece necks, the truss rod is installed from the rear and thus there should be more wood thickness between it and the fret board

Ok so for me maple would be better because I prefer snappy attack. Hm ... Thinking .... what next to buy ...

One piece neck and alder body separates the ST62 from the DG57, IMO. Even the ST62DLX still uses a basswood body, yet is the same price as the DG57. ST62DLX does have gold hardware, but hardware can be changed, wood can't. The bones count, for me. BTW, welcome back, Che

OH ok I missed that I guess. i never played alder guitar. Is it more resonant/sustaining? Or just more snappy on the attack? My old ST-20SB is the best sustaining guitar of all I had owned. Yet it's basswood. I bought another st-20 couple of month ago and it was utter rubish. Not even near as good as the one I bought back in 2014. Thanks for the welcome nice to be back!

Not just on the attack, because you keep on earing a difference along the sustain. Rosewood sounds somewhat rounder and mapple is snappier. But to really ear an obvious difference in a ecord, you should compare a one piece mapple vs a thick rosewood fretboard.
