Anyone know much about them? It has a tap tempo function which seems pretty good for a pedal in the under £40 bracket. I'm leaning more towards this over the HB digital delay. Cheers

These new mini Nux pedals are likely based on TC mini pedals. Kokko mini pedals look the same as Nux mini pedals. On Aliexpress for cheap.

Hmm, if it IS the same then the tap tempo function is a bit of a mystery. I'm wondering if some information is getting muddled and would want to make sure THAT NUX has tap tempo. They may be muddling the feature with the Time Core pedal. The identical looking KOKKO pedal doesn't mention the feature but, instead, offers an ability to hold down that switch to choose between true bypass and buffered bypass so that the delay tails can either finish immediately or trail away when the pedal is switched off. KOKKO Timer pedal
Or perhaps it does BOTH and each seller is forgetting to mention the other's feature?! Look at this NAMM advertIsn't that the same pedal with a different name?

Yes it looks like it's the same pedal as kokko. Your right there's no info regarding tap tempo anywhere except on thomanns site so I'll hold off just now until I can find out some more. The Behringer Echo machine has the tap function and looks a good deal but hardly anyone sells it now so maybe it's been discontinued, anyhow thanks for the info guys 👍

I reckon the NUX is safe in having both the buffered bypass option and tap tempo. It just seems to have been renamed from The Konsequent to The Timer. But that KOKKO one is the mystery. It's definitely masquerading as a NUX Timer but not one place mentions it having tap tempo.

I saw a Philip McKnight review of the Kokko timer and he made no mention of it either. It's a strange one but I'm hoping it is the Konsequent in disguise as that seems to have tap tempo as well as the choice of true bypass or buffered. I can always send it back if it doesn't do what's described on their website. I also bagged a €10 voucher from Thomann for a review so the HB D-seed is another option. 👍

I don't know what kind of delay you are after but after playing my Mooer Reecho Twin I will NEVER again play a delay pedal without the Low and High pass/cut knobs; makes a HUGE difference when you cut the highs ! You still have the normal sounding dry guitar but the wet is with less highs hence making the original guitar tone sparkle more and create a fine contrast with the delayed tone! Oh yes Reecho also has separate dry and wet knobs! Super delay! I hope they never discontinue it because in case it breaks or else I would immediately buy new one so much I love that thing! It doesn't cost much on Aliexpress! I'm thinking to buy the Mooer Twin Reverie as well!

To add;
It has tap tempo, knob tempo and fantastic sounding Looper too! Best affordable delay out there! Oh and it has a pan button in case you plug 2 amps into it! 2 stereo in and 2 stereo out! Tons of useful features! Love it!

Thanks che I'll check it out. I'm really only wanting to get some decent slapback for rockabilly/surf and be able to dial in the dotted 8th easily which is where tap tempo function comes in handy. Also would prefer the pedal to sound more analogue than digital.

It does! The TC Electronic Alter Ego V2 is even better, they really tuned it to simulate several classic delay pedals and above all this there is also the added bonus of the TonePrints to make this pedal even more versatile. The TC is a lot more expansive than the HB/Joyo but delivers a lot more oomph as well.

Oh S**t It looks as tho I've just fell down the rabbit hole of delay pedals now. 🙈 I mostly use Bias FX nowadays but have been playing the Bandit a lot more and would like to add some delay and probably another OD pedal as a lead boost. I dont want to spend too much at the moment as its only for home use but I have a £50 credit for Thomann that's burning a hole in my pocket. I'll try and do some more research before pulling the trigger. Cheers

I love the sound of the features on the Reecho twin. And at under £50 it IS a steel on Aliexpress. But I have this Boss ME70 multiFX and it does so much and there's so much I haven't done with it yet and it does away with all my other fx pedals and it eliminates cable trails and it can store patches and it's strong and durable and it has an expression pedal and...I just want that Mooer Reecho Twin.

Defjef, go for it! You WILL enjoy those Low and High Cut knobs! They are especially good at Reverse Delay and Galaxy delay but also on others as it creates such fine contrast in between the dry and delayed/wet sounds.

Received the Nux mini Timer pedal from Thomann yesterday and for €39 it's a bit of a bargain. It comes in a very nice box with instructions included and can confirm it does feature tap tempo. Holding the foot switch for 3 seconds puts you in tap mode and also buffered mode so when you switch off the pedal the delays will trail off in the mix. In normal mode it is true bypass and there is not a hint of tone suck. Played it through the Bandit for half an hour last night with just a touch of reverb and it sounds superb. Not sure if it's emulating analogue as the repeats are crystal clear though they do sound warm at the same time so I'd say it's a bit of both. Really simple to use and dialling in great tone is a breeze it also feels solid (metal casing) and the dials glow in the dark which is a bonus. All in all a great wee delay pedal.
