Only one of those I had was the BZ-4000-NT. Christ I was like a kid again,pre-ordered it then had a couple of months wait Thomann were on the ball,it was delivered on day of release A surplus of active thru neck basses meant I moved it on after a year or so. Memories !! Stunning looks. They are very pretty basses. Weighty !! The BZ is a hefty bit of timber. Gloss finish lamimnate neck with ebonal board, ebonal felt no different to ebony/added bonus it didn't mark G&B pickups and electrics :- No complaints there G&B are a good company who supply Spector,Peavey and PRS with pickups and preamps. The EMG select are made by G&B. 18v 3 band preamp/ volume is a push/pull for active/passive modes. The Humbuckers were 4 wire so you could easy fit a mini switch and run them series/parallel/single coil. It's a damn fine bass but it would help if you gave a hint about your playing style or genre. It's a modern sound bass that favours the mid range. derek has his strung with tapes to give it a darker, warmer tone.
