I've had this guitar, a TE-90QM HH Trans Blue, since 23rd December and I've only just noticed that the high E string is closer to the edge of the fret-board than the low E particularly at the higher frets. It seems the bridge must be slightly off. I did think of moving the nut but I don't believe that would cure the problem at the lower frets. imgur.com/a/KIGYUIt's great in all other respects, (if I ignore the tuners and a badly finished F hole, and the fact the colour is definitely sea green and not blue), and I really like this guitar. It has also been very well set up. Even the humbuckers have been adjusted so the the high E side is higher than the low E side to equalize the volume. I've only played it for a few hours because of the Christmas festivities and only just noticed the problem when I picked it up today and inspected it thoroughly. I didn't really notice it when playing as the strings don't slip off the fret-board and, when I play bends it's always upwards. My question is do you think it should be returned for another guitar?

From that one picture it looks like a simple case of neck mis-alignment rather than bridge out of position. Simply slacken the strings off and loosen the neck bolts. Then move the neck from side to side a little, using the strings as a guide until they are lined up better. The dot markers can also help; they should be between the d and g, assuming they themselves are correctly cut in. That doesn't answer you actual question - whether or not to return it. On one hand you say you really like and it's well set up (despite the neck issue) but then say you have problems with the tuners, finishing, and the colour! I think that may be your decision alone!

Hi Bodegg
I'll try the neck first.
What I really meant to say was that those few issues are not a deal breaker for me. The tuners can be replaced and the finish on the F hole can be tidied up, and although I was expecting the colour to be a bit of a greenish blue, it is definitely sea green, but despite that I quite like it.
I'll contact Thomann and see if they are OK with me trying to move the neck as they might say I have voided the warranty - or something like that.

Thanks everyone for their input.
I sent an email detailing the problem to Thomann as I was convinced that it was the bridge that was out of alignment.
However after watching DefJef's video link, where he states that it is often thought to be the bridge where in fact it's the neck that is out, I loosened the screws and successfully realigned the neck. It took a great deal of effort as the neck pocket is as tight as a pair of nuns' knickers.
It would have been a great shame to have to return the guitar as it's very well set up in other respects, and I really quite like it and it sounds great.
So thanks everyone.

I kind of get annoyed if I have to align the neck so much it creates a big gap between the body and the neck heel! That was the case on my ex ST-90SA. That said, the neck-heel-alignment on my new ST-62MN Black is PERFECT!
