5 watts is loud for my home use. I only ever use my V5 amp on its 0,1Watt setting and crank it to get nice tone 
But even the V55 can be played while my son sleeps two rooms away from my studio. The Master Volume sure helps with this and I can further attenuate with me preamp pedal.
