Ah Dan Erlewine. For the 2nd time in this thread we have a Iggy and the Stooges connection  Iggy played with Dan in the Prime Movers before he went to found the Stooges. |

I'm mostly a fingerstyle player too. Do you ever play with your nail, Che? Like a plectrum? That's when I palm mute. Or when I'm sort of replicating pizzicato and doing arpeggios with all fingers. All adds to the dynamics. I never use my nail as plectrum. Tried but feels odd. I only ever used palm muting on my old Les Paul (L450Plus) as I find the TOM bridge very comfy for palm muting. Not so with Strat or God forbid Tele style bridges  with all those screws sticking out! |

You leave the screws sticking out? I cut them down if I have time or else replace them with these: M3 grub screws Heck that's a BIIIIG picture! Sorry about that. Anyway, the point is you can select different length ones, they're dead cheap and a bit simpler than hack sawing them down which I usually do. |
